MARGARITA has approximately
58 miles of beaches - which offer a variety of
services. You can enjoy the calm turquoise - blue
waters of the majority of them, good for a
refreshing swim and famous for their excellent
windsurfing conditions, or the more lively,
challenging waves of a few beaches, meant for a
bit more of a thrill.Washed by crystal clear water,
Margarita's beaches are ideal whether you've come
to relax, to enjoy water sports, sun, and people
or simply to taste one of our local dishes.
Following is information on services available at
our beaches that will help to guide you around
the island. Of course, don't forget to bring your
sunscreen!

| Playa
Guacuco, popular
among its local patrons, but has yet to be
visited by many foreign tourists. Shallow waves
of 22ºC (72ºF) and 2.000meters long (1.3
miles). |

Playa
Puerto Viejo, located
beside Puerto Cruz. This beach is proper for
children and less experienced swimmers. Calm
water of 23ºC (73ºF) and 700 meters long (0.4
miles) . |
| Playa El
Agua, the most
well known tourist development on the Island. It
offers a wide selection of restaurants to choose
from along this palm tree studded beach. Rough
waters of 24º C (76ºF) and 4.000 m. long (2.5
miles). |

Playa El
Yaque, world
famous among windsurfing enthusiasts! It is
also ideal for children, as the water is shallow
and warm. Water of 29ºC (85ºF) and 2.000 m long
(1.3 miles) . |
| Playa La
Pared, magnificent
sunset and complete tranquillity are guaranteed!
No public services are available. Rough waters of
26ºC (77ºF) and 1.500 meters long. |

Puerto
Cruz Beach. The
widest and windiest beach of the Island. You will
find many palm trees, shade huts and public
services. Rough water of 23ºC (73ªF) and 1.000
m. long (0.6 miles) . |
| Playa
Manzanillo, a
picturesque bay set amidst the mountains in the
most extreme north/eastern point of the Island.
Calm waters of 23ºC (731F) and 900 m. long (0.5
miles) . |

Playa La
Galera, located
beside the Juangriego bay, just east of the town.
This beach offers its patrons shade huts, Jet Ski
rentals, and restaurants. Calm waters of 23ºC
(73ºF) and 1.200 meters long (0.8 miles). |

spectacular beaches, which offers you the largest
free port in the Caribbean, MARGARITA also has
beautiful shops, national parks, excellent
museums, artists, and historic sites witnessing
